I regret to inform you that your Department of Defense is saying the quiet part out loud.
THIS is why they do what they do:
The hashtag is completely appropriate. The reason the military does what it does these days is for people like Rachel here. The mission is to honor mentally ill men who think that they're women can impose their madness on the rest of society.
I have the deepest sympathy for said mentally ill. This is why I don't think coddling their delusions and giving them high-ranking positions in the military is the best thing for them.
This person is an officer in charge of your nation's cyber security.
Here's a line from the feature on Jones that really should be shocking and maybe make the military think twice about promoting sexual minorities in the military:
The risk of depression, post-traumatic stress and suicidal ideation is twice as high for LGBTQ+ veterans and Soldiers who have concealed their true selves than non-LGBTQ+ veterans and Soldiers, explained master resilience trainer, Stephanie Allers, who serves as a program specialist and suicide prevention liaison in the ASC G1 (Human Resources) Readiness and Resilience Division.
Notice how they imply that the risk is higher for LGBT folks who "conceal themselves" but they don't actually give you the numbers for open LGBT people.
Could it be because it's a negligible difference and LGBT people are just more likely to experience mental issues?
I guess we should probably get into the replies from this tweet because if I say anything more myself I'll probably get into trouble.
(Because he probably got to take the female test)
This one about sums it all up:
A complete and utter embarrassment.
Anyone and everyone who oversees this disgrace should be immediately discharged from the Army.
