Remember in July when CNN said a black shooter in NYC was "possibly white"?
Well, Jake Tapper decided to continue CNN's fake-news legacy by telling the world that the 31-year-old black man arrested for the J6 pipe bombs is in fact, white.
It almost seems like it couldn't be true. But it is.
While everyone and their grandmother was learning about Cole on social media (including the fact that he is a black man), CNN stuck to their tried-and-true formula of being completely dishonest and wrong.

Tapper made the cringeworthy gaffe while discussing the arrest of Cole, who is black, during his opening segment on 'The Lead.'
His 'white man' comment came at 5:01 p.m., around the time CNN was the first outlet to publish a photo of Cole's face that originated from the suspect's mother's Instagram account.
As you'd expect, people had a field day with it:
Even though the world seems to be getting crazier by the day, we can at least rest in the knowledge that CNN is committed to providing grade-A entertainment.
To be fair, when Netflix makes its movie about the Jan 6 pipe bomb investigation, Brian Cole will almost certainly be white.
