Candace Taylor, a 35-year-old from Slidell, Louisiana, earned the nickname "Medicaid Millionaire" after allegedly scamming Medicaid while living like a rock star.

Arrested on July 28, 2025, Taylor reportedly hid her ownership of six businesses that pulled in $9.5 million from 2020 to 2024.
In 2020 alone, her accounts saw $480,994.09 in deposits, yet she claimed poverty to snag benefits (yes, this is real).
'From 2021 through 2024, Ms. Taylor continued to transfer tens of thousands of dollars between her personal and business accounts, with personal inflows consistently exceeding the eligibility thresholds for Medicaid,' the affidavit directly states.
Not content with subtlety, Taylor splurged on a 2022 Lamborghini Urus, dropping $100,000 via wire transfer, alongside Audi payments, property purchases, and cosmetic surgery.
Her social media was a gallery of this lavish life (which comes as a surprise to absolutely no one). In 2024, she had the nerve to renew her Medicaid claim, citing a $4,000 monthly income while omitting her business empire. Tax returns exposed the lie, landing her in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for government benefits fraud.

The investigation continues, but Taylor's tale is a bold lesson in how NOT to game the system.
