This "sports writer" is trying to crucify a kid for wearing "black face" to a Chiefs game. He even doubled down when he got torched for his take 🤡

Remember when football used to be, well, you know, football? Before the kneeling and the "end racism" and the Covid quarantines. But nowadays, you get this:

"The NFL needs to speak out against the Kansas City Chiefs fan in Black face, Native headdress."

Really?

Because he's wearing black face? Well, good ol' Community Notes tells us that's fake news. Only half of his face is painted black; the other half is red, yet Deadspin didn't find that fitting to their story.

Not only does this writer come after a literal child, but once he was made aware that the photo he's been sharing is tricking people into believing that a kid wore black face to the Chiefs game in Vegas, he doubled down and claimed red-and-black face is racist too.

Again, community notes is great.

Just to give you an idea for the smarts of these guys over at Deadspin I'll quote a bit from their original article up top there.

It takes a lot to disrespect two groups of people at once. But on Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas, a Kansas City Chiefs fan found a way to hate Black people and the Native Americans at the same time.

Classic sports writing right there! "Hate black people," I love when I see "hate black people" in a sports article, especially when it's fake news because the kid isn't even wearing black face. That was the opening line, by the way. Great stuff!

I'll give you more because this "sports writer" is off his rocker:

The image of a Chiefs fan in Black face wearing a Native headdress during a road game leads to so many unanswered questions.

Why did the camera person give this fan the attention?

Why did the producer allow that camera angle to be aired at all?

Is that fan a kid/teenager or a young adult?

Despite their age, who taught that person that what they were wearing was appropriate?

The answers to all of those questions lead back to the NFL. While it isn't the league's responsibility to stop racism and hate from being taught in the home, they are a league that has relentlessly participated in prejudice. If the NFL had outlawed the chop at Chiefs games and been more aggressive in changing the team's name, then we wouldn't be here.

There's no place for a franchise to be called the "Chiefs" in a league that's already eradicated "Redskins."

Again, this is "sports writing." Attempting to single out a child for wearing face paint and a headdress to a Chiefs game. Bro really wants to know everything about this kid, like, I think he wants to take him out to dinner. So strange.

Switching gears here, since this is what "football" has come to these days, T-Swift's tour is currently on break, so she needs some publicity. The Left has been calling on her to end the chop since she started holding Travis Kelce's hand in public, so this would be a perfect opportunity for her to stick her nose into the Chiefs organization and their apparent "racism." That'd be the cherry on top of this pile of steaming garbage.

Anyhow, I've been here for way too long and I'm giving this bro over at Deadspin too much of a platform.

Quick 🔥 meme headline for ya:
