On Saturday, an elderly Asian man went on a killing spree in California that will quickly disappear from the headlines because a modern-looking rifle and a white dude were not involved.
Ten people were killed – Ten tragically senseless deaths that could have very well been stopped if good guys were legally allowed to carry guns to protect themselves and others from bad guys with guns.
Unfortunately, this is California, where the strictest gun laws in the nation are completely ignored by the bad guys (funny how that works) and you basically hope the police deem your life-or-death situation politically important enough to show up and save your life (10 minutes after being shot, that is).
Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivor David Hogg is a regularly promoted voice on gun control after horrible crimes like this, which is why tweets like this one are absolutely unreal:
Yep.
You know those men who foster an inner masculine desire to protect their families, build communities and nations, and promote law and virtue?
David Hogg says they are the problem.
Imagine actually thinking too much fatherhood is the crisis facing America right now.
Let me translate the woke euphemisms for you:
When an activist like Hogg says "patriarchy" is the problem, he really means "all of Western civilization and its foundational Aristotelian and Christian principles."
So the guys who wrote this:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights
And this...
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
And this...
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Are the real problem.
Oh, and if you think otherwise, then you are obviously a domestic terrorist!
Ah, yes, austere students of history like David Hogg will remember that armed insurrection (the darkest day in history!) where not a single civilian present had guns and no one except civilians were killed by government forces.
Those who forget history are doomed to repeat this:
In actuality, what's happened the moment a citizenry disarmed themselves is that tyrants and dictators formed a new ruling nobility to separate society into lords and peasants, leaving tens of millions dead in the process. This has happened many times in the last 100 years alone.
