This virtual bull’s head on Roblox was selling for $18,750. I say “was” because they’re all sold out.

If you had kids during the pandemic, you're probably familiar with the video game Roblox. Games like Hide and Seek Extreme and Natural Disaster were all my kids talked about when they were locked down, and video games were their only connection to their friends.

My son still loves playing Roblox, but now that he's older he‘s learning to code his own games on the system. He also loves to tell me weird news about Roblox.

For example, this week he was all abuzz about this golden bull's head that was selling for 1,500,000 robux. Robux is the in-game currency players can use to buy accessories for their characters.

I‘ve bought enough robux for birthday gifts to know that 1.5 million robux was a crazy amount of money.

It's $18,750 to be exact.

I scoffed and thought, "who in their right mind would drop $18,750 for a video game accessory?" But then my son told me the bull's heads were all sold out.

My curiosity was piqued.

It turns out that the bull's heads were created by Lamborghini to promote their new all-electric Lanzador.

They even have an entire Roblox game dedicated to the model.

Now, I know Lamborghinis are expensive, but $18,750 for a bull's head on a video game?

Even in the hyper-inflation era of 2023, you can buy a brand new sedan for that amount of money: a real car in the real world.

And you can even drive that new car to the Lamborghini headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese.

But only the people who shelled out $18,750 for the bull's heads are going to get private tours of those facilities.

Okay, that's kind of cool, but I think I'd still want the sedan instead of the bull's head or the tour.

But Lambo sold out of the coveted bull heads.

Okay, there were only 3 available. But that means 3 people spent nearly 19 grand on a BULL HEAD for their character in ROBLOX!

Some people have too much money!

Now, if it were a real golden bull's head, well…

I'd still take the Sedan, preferably gas-powered, thanks!
