Toronto Police tells citizens to keep car keys near front door so thieves won’t hurt them when they break in 🤡

Car thefts are up by nearly 25% in Toronto, so naturally the police are getting involved. What are they doing to stop the crime? Well, they're handing out doorstops which citizens can install on their front door, making it harder for thieves to get in and steal your car keys.

Police are also telling citizens to leave their key fobs near their front door in case one of these car thieves does get in; that way, when they enter your home, they can simply grab the keys, steal your car, and leave you alone.

Seriously, that's the advice.

Watch:

You hear that?!?

To prevent the possibility of being attacked in your home, leave your FOBs at your front door. Because they're breaking into your home to steal your car. They don't want anything else. A lot of them that they're arresting have guns on them. And they're not toy guns, they're real guns, they're loaded.

What a way to fight crime!

Just let the criminals take your car, that'll do it!

No need to have guns or anything to protect yourselves, no — guns are for criminals.

Goodness, you might as well just leave the keys in the ignition at that point. Typical Canada for ya.
