Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is supposed to be used in extreme cases of humanitarian need for short terms (usually for 6, 12, or 18 months), allowing foreign refugees a safe haven in America.
As deportation efforts have ramped up, however, the American public has learned that some foreigners have remained in the country on TPS for decades. Some politicians and businesses have purposely imported large numbers of foreigners into small American towns, such as Haitians in Ohio and Pennsylvania, as cheap labor to replace Americans.
This week, a report from City Journal exposed a large Medicaid scheme where Somalis have been diagnosing their kids with autism at staggering rates to get government money. A significant sum of this money is then being funneled back home to Somalia, where it has ended up in the hands of rival warlords and Islamic terror outfits.
This kind of widespread fraud is common within the Somali community in Minnesota. Dozens of Somalis were arrested for a sprawling fraud operation involving Covid relief funds ($250 million). The Somalis had taken federal money to feed their "children" under a program called "Feeding Our Future," but had pocketed the money instead.
At the trial of one of the accused, at least one juror was offered a bribe of $120,000 by the Somali community to vote "not guilty."
Somalis in Minnesota have also been in the national news for allegations of vote-buying and ballot harvesting during elections.

Imagine telling the American men lost in Somali during the events depicted in "Black Hawk Down" that 30 years later, Somalis would be in our country, using our tax dollars, to fund the terrorists they died to stop.
