I'm sure you'll find this hard to believe, but last night Jen Psaki opened her MSNBC show by mocking Trump for not striking "a single trade deal" with "any single country."
There was just one problem.
Sure, Jen, it's been over a month -- which seems like a long time -- but you should've probably held off on this "Trump own."
Lemme give you all those bullet points in full:
- UK will reduce numerous non-tariff barriers 'that unfairly discriminated against American products'
- 'Billions' for increased market access for America exports, especially agriculture, beef, ethanol, 'virtually all of the products produced by our great farmers'
- New market access for American machinery, chemicals
- Bring the UK into the economic security alignment with the US
- Ensure strong industrial base, protections for steel
- Affirming reciprocity and fairness
I'll leave this here too:
Trump says the "final details are being written up; in the coming weeks we'll have it all very conclusive ... we think just about everything's been approved."
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer could be heard on the phone with Trump stating, "With this president and this prime minister, we've achieved what many people tried to achieve for many years, and I'm really pleased and it feels completely historic."
Trump says this will be the "first of many" deals, so we look forward to his deals with India, South Korea, Japan, and others.
