Harley and Harry Crane were given "zero chance of survival" after being born at 22 weeks gestation. After almost five months in the hospital, the twins are on track to go home by February 24.

At the time of their premature birth, the babies weighed 1.1 lbs and measured "the length of a king-size Mars Bar."

"Usually doctors would tell us what they did with other babies at the same age, but they don't have any 22 weekers to base it on because it just doesn't happen," the mother Jade said.

"They'll go down in medical history. I'm sure they'll have a ward named after them because everyone is just amazed by them!"

The Queen's Medical Centre Hospital still admitted Jade, although doctors in the U.K. are not required to provide medical care for babies before 24 weeks.

"The doctor was so shocked, she told me she could see the membrane bulging, so the sac of water was basically showing. It was so scary. I knew I was 22 weeks, but I didn't know about the viability thing. They told me they were going to admit me, but that I was probably having a miscarriage."

Doctors continued telling Jade she was "miscarrying," Live Action News reports, but she, insisted, "it couldn't be because [she] could feel the babies moving."

"I knew they were OK, but was being told they wouldn't survive at this gestation," Jade said.

Providentially, Jade was at a teaching hospital that "regularly provides medical care to babies born at 23 weeks," Live Action News reports.

"I was still two weeks away from what the UK classes as viable and the babies were given a 0% chance of survival," Jade said. "It was only because I was at a teaching hospital and that the babies were born with signs of life that they chose to intervene medically."

Moreover, Jade said they were "lucky" to have gone to Queen's because she wouldn't have come home with any babies if she had gone to her local hospital.

Jade said the doctors are "rooting" for her family now, adding there's "not one surgeon in the hospital who hasn't heard" about their twins.

"Zero chance of survival." Life is beautiful. ❤️
