Roommates Stephen Glosser and Caleb Kinsey are being charged with stalking, conspiracy, and use of an explosive to commit a felony offense, among other charges, after bombing a woman's house in South Georgia in January of 2023.
The victim had moved into the house only the day before the bombing, but the suspects had been stalking her for around two months after she met Glosser through a dating app. Their relationship didn't pan out, for reasons that I think are now obvious.
Thankfully, the victim was on the opposite side of the house when the bomb went off and no one was injured, but the bomb which was made with Tannerite, did some serious damage to the house.
Bryan County Sherrif said after the explosion,
When I arrived on the scene out there I had no idea of the devastation I would see to that home. We just went through a tornado in April, and it almost looked like a tornado went off inside the home with all the debris and the damage that happened to it.
Investigators in the case say they've found at least 80 pieces of evidence proving their guilt, including records that they ordered 80 pounds of Tannerite to their home address, where they took photos posing with it while wearing Tannerite hats! Maybe Tannerite threw in some free merch with such a large purchase!
In addition to documenting their crime for their scrapbook, the two also exchanged text messages where they plotted other ways to terrorize the victim, including shooting arrows through her door, mailing dog feces and dead rats to the victim, and releasing "a large python into the victim's home to eat the victim's daughter."
That last one seems like a long shot, but seeing as how they actually followed through on their bomb threat, I think the judge should take the conspiracy charges seriously.
The two suspects could face up to 10 years in prison for the explosive charges, and an additional 20 for conspiracy.
I say, throw the book at them!
