Two little Utah sisters, age 4 and 9, stole their parents' car because they wanted to drive to California to swim with dolphins 🐬

Two sisters -- just nine and four years old! -- decided one day that they REALLY wanted to swim with dolphins and nearly paid for it with their lives.

Since they live in Utah, the girls decided to hatch a daring escape plan, stealing the keys to their parent's Chevy Malibu and sneaking out of the house early last Wednesday.

The girls actually managed to make it 10 miles from their house and get onto a highway before they side-swiped a car and then ran into a semi.

Fortunately, both had listened to their parents by wearing seatbelts, and neither was harmed!

Check out more:

"They talked about going to California to swim with dolphins and go to the beach and they woke up at 3 in the morning," said local detective Scott List.

The girl's parents said they had talked about possibly taking a trip to California, but obviously had no idea their kids would do something ABSOLUTELY INSANE to make that a reality.

Dolphins are cool, kids, but don't commit Grand Theft Auto to see them!
