Oh, the hypocrisy!

Another lefty caught being a mask virtue signaler, slipping the mask off when they thought no one was looking. And The Washington Free Beacon was all over it!

This time it's Samantha Power the USAID Administrator for the Biden Administration. She was secretly photographed on an Amtrak train with her mask slipped below her mouth and nose, in violation of federal law.

According to the Amtrak website:

Federal law requires all customers and employees to wear a mask at all times while onboard trains and in stations, regardless of vaccination status or state or local laws. Refusing to wear a mask is a violation of federal law; passengers may be subject to penalties under federal law, denied boarding, removed from the train and banned from future travel in the event of noncompliance.

Honestly, I do not care at all if Samantha Power wears a mask on the train or not. I assume she's fully vaccinated and she's obviously not near anyone else. The whole law is ridiculous.

The point is that she knows it's ridiculous. Everyone in the political class knows it's ridiculous and that at the very least exceptions should be made. They make them for themselves after all.

But if this were a Republican? What would be said of them? Maybe something like this:

But for the left, the hypocrisy is the point. She won't face any consequences for flaunting the law. And she shouldn't. Because no one should.

But rest assured, if this was someone in the Trump administration it would be the leading story on the national news. But it's not. So no one will care.
