Imagine teaching a class on modern U.S. politics and completely ignoring the fact that Donald Trump exists.
That seems to be what Henley College in Oxfordshire England expects, because when a teacher showed videos of Donald Trump, he was not only fired, but also recommended for the national counterterrorist program.
The teacher, who wishes to remain anonymous, told The Telegraph:
They likened me to a terrorist. It was completely jarring.
It's dystopian, like something from a George Orwell novel.
It was just terrifying; just mind-boggling. We were discussing the US election, Trump had just won and I showed a couple of videos from the Trump campaign.
The teacher was also accused of causing his students emotional harm and committing a hate crime.
Seriously?
Was it a class of late-night TV hosts?
The students also said he showed them a genocide video, but he points out it was a Holocaust education video the college gave him to show.
The unnamed teacher has launched a grievance procedure against the college, but is still currently without a job.
