Update: Grand jury in Georgia has indicted the migrant accused of killing Laken Riley on 10 counts, including murder

Maybe the illegal immigrant who allegedly killed Laken Riley will finally face some justice for his multiple alleged crimes.

Jose Ibarra, the "refugee" from Venezuela who had been stopped at the border and arrested previously before allegedly slaying Laken Riley in the sanctuary city of Athens, Georgia, is facing 10 counts handed down from a grand jury, including murder.

[Graphic description of the crime ahead]

The indictment, which the Athens Clarke County grand jury returned on Tuesday, alleges that Ibarra killed the Augusta University student by 'inflicting blunt force trauma to her head and by asphyxiating her' and seriously disfigured her head by striking her 'multiple times' with a rock.

Additional charges in the 10-count indictment include aggravated battery, kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault with intent to rape, obstructing or hindering a person making an emergency telephone call and tampering with evidence. The latter charge alleged that he 'knowingly concealed' evidence -- a jacket and gloves -- involving the offense of malice murder.

This, alleged, scum bag, if he's found guilty, belongs under the prison.

Of course, he should've never been in the US to start with. And should have been deported after his arrest in NYC. And shouldn't have been able to flee to a sanctuary city.

But maybe he won't escape justice forever.

The court is yet to set a date for the upcoming trial. Ibarra's attorneys have requested a trial by jury. But that's all we know for now until the court decides how and when to handle the case.

Laken's friends and family need to remain in our prayers.

And we need to close the border to protect other Lakens from the same fate.
