Something's happening, folks.

Yesterday, we ran an article about state senate candidate Edward Durr and how he almost unseated the top lawmaker in New Jersey... a deeply blue state.

Turns out, Durr actually won.

New Jersey truck driver-turned Republican state Senate nominee Edward Durr has officially beat out Democratic state Senate president Steve Sweeney in the race for Sweeney's state Senate seat.

Durr beat Sweeney for the 3rd District seat 52 to 48 percent, according to data from The New York Times.

Sweeney had led the state Senate since 2010. When he defended his seat back in 2017, he reportedly spent nearly $20 million on what has since become one of the most expensive legislative races in the country.

Durr reportedly spent just $153 on his election campaign, with $67 of that going towards Dunkin Donuts.

UNBELIEVABLE!!

The established Democrat leader spent $20,000,000 on his last run, and who knows how much this time around, and he just got trounced by a dude who spent $67 at Dunkin Donuts and $86 on general expenses...

Talk about David vs. Goliath!

This was Durr earlier on Thursday when the vote tally started to edge in his favor:

Do you think it's impossible to win against the established elites and their deep pocketbooks?

Durr just showed us all that any average Joe with half a brain and a heart for serving his or her community can knock our self-appointed kings off their thrones.

I think we need a few thousand others like Durr to run for office in 2022 and 2024!
