Was that so hard?
Wednesday evening brought news that, at long last, the United States and Ukraine had signed an agreement granting the U.S. access to Ukraine's rare earth minerals in exchange for the U.S.'s investment in reconstruction efforts. The deal was officially announced by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent:
The deal was previously believed to have been finalized in February before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a very public confrontation with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance in front of the media in the Oval Office. After tensions eased, negotiations resumed, finally leading to an agreement.

As reported by Breitbart:
Per the press release, the agreement between Ukraine and the U.S. positions both countries to 'work collaboratively and invest together to ensure' their 'mutual assets, talents, and capabilities can accelerate Ukraine's economic recovery.'
Fox News reported that Ukrainian Economy Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko had flown to the U.S. to 'help finalize the deal,' and that she praised the agreement in a post on X, stating it would 'attract global investment' into Ukraine.
Just within the last week, President Trump had publicly called upon Zelenskyy to sign the deal:
Fortunately, Zelenskyy was able to hold off on throwing another public hissy fit long enough to get the deal done.
Now, just end the war already.
