Verizon ends DEI policies after pushback from FCC

Bro, all this woke stuff is on its death bed, if not six feet under.

Most recent example: Verizon, which has said goodbye to its DEI programs, noting that "some DEI policies and practices could be associated with discrimination."

Chairman of the FCC Brendan Carr wrote Verizon back in February warning them that he was "concerned by the apparent lack of progress at Verizon" when it comes to eliminating "DEI discrimination."

Now he's got us covered on Verizon's latest move:

Yup, Verizon wrote him back and is now ending their DEI programs.

Verizon is gutting itself of DEI by,

  • No longer hiring based on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

  • Removing teams and "any individual roles focused on DEl" from their HR department.

  • Removing any DEI references from its training.

  • Creating corporate sponsorships based not on DEI but on advancing business objectives.

  • Removing supplier diversity programs.

  • Continuing employee research groups (ERGs) but removing the DEI aspect of the events.

Essentially, Verizon will go back to running their business like a business, instead of like a leftist commune.

And their webpage on "All of us. Connected by Pride" is already gone.

The times are a'changing, folks, and corporate leftism is dying out.
