Justin Pearson is a radical leftist who preaches straight from the works of James Cone and is clearly trying to become a modern-day Martin Luther King.
But that's not who he always was.
In 2016, while still in college up in Maine, this is who Justin Pearson was:
This is his campaign for college president. His persona is that of "radical middle" and finding common ground. He doesn't speak like a stereotype of a far-left black preacher trying to push Marxism through liberation theology. He talks like a normal dude who goes to a fancy school in Maine.
Contrast that with today's Justin Pearson:
Sure you can change your mind and appearance over the years, but he's also changed his voice! He is clearly trying to get elected in Memphis by appearing more "black" with that Souther, MLK "I-Have-A-Dream" accent!
It's all a show!
Politicians are chameleons, I get that. But this is something completely different. Pearson is putting on a racist black caricature to appear a certain way for political gain.
It's gross, it's racist, and it's insulting to black people.
He's not a poor black preacher. He's a rich kid who went to the best schools out of state, of course, and has come back home to play the part of a new civil rights hero.
It's an absolute joke. And Democrats are falling for it.
