Foreigners are serving on juries to decide if Americans are innocent?!

Scott Presler isn't lying. Let's take a look at the press release from Macomb County Clerk Anthony Forlini:

Macomb County Clerk Anthony G. Forlini is alarmed about recent discoveries regarding prospective 16th Judicial Circuit Court jurors. The jury 'pool,' based on the Secretary of State's driver's license database, includes non-citizens who are ineligible for jury duty.

'Non-citizens are coming through at an alarming rate. Our jury service summons are based on random draws from the driver's license bank. Frequently non-citizens slip through because citizenship was not flagged in the Secretary of State database,' said Clerk Forlini.

When the 6th Amendment guaranteed Americans the right to a trial by a jury of their peers, it didn't mean your fate would be decided by foreigners from all over the world!!!

Forlini directed his staff to search the Michigan secretary of state's databases to see if aliens were in the jury pool, and if any of those aliens had been registered to vote.

'What we have found is very disturbing - 239 non-citizens were found in the jury pool over a four-month period. In a cross check of our voter rolls it appears that 14 of these prospective jurors were registered to vote at some point in time. Our QV shows instances where some of these non-citizens potentially having a voting history. One in particular appears to have voted several times, all of which could result in felony charges.' said Clerk Forlini.

Michigan has voter ID laws, but if an alien applies for a driver's license, they are automatically registered to vote in the state unless they check the box on the application form that specifies they are not a U.S. citizen.

Essentially, the state of Michigan just takes their word for it. Not joking.

Unlike some states, Michigan does not currently use a federal citizenship database or systematic federal verification to confirm the status at the time of registration.

'We must find a way for the Driver's License database to confirm citizenship. Many times there may be a language barrier, and applicants do not understand what they are signing. If this is not addressed, we risk compromising our jury trials and our elections,' said Clerk Forlini.

(I'm told this is right-wing extremism.)

Macomb County, just north of Detroit, includes the wealthy suburb of Bloomfield Hills, whose residents have an average annual salary north of $350,000, with a median salary above $200,000.

If the problem is this bad in an affluent, white-majority area, imagine what it's like in Wayne County, which includes metro Detroit and migrant-heavy areas like Arab-majority Dearborn!

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson has some explaining to do!
