This girl had no idea she was pregnant because she lost 30 pounds, "was the flattest I've ever been," and had her period every month before baby came. What??

This is wild, y'all.

That's a dream pregnancy right there. Zero symptoms like morning sickness, losing weight without even trying, and a 15 minute delivery?? Is this Dennis Quaid's wife from "What To Expect When You're Expecting"?

Kayla was 20 when she became a mom in 2021, which seems pretty young ... and I didn't see any man in the video.

But I'm not gonna judge her because a baby is always a gift. Whatever the backstory, massive props to her for keeping her child and her parents for immediately stepping up to support her.

In covering Kayla's story, Evie Magazine dropped some stats about these "cryptic" pregnancies:

[T]here exists a rare phenomenon known as a cryptic or stealth pregnancy. This condition occurs when a woman is unaware of her pregnancy until the last few weeks or even until she's in labor. While this may seem implausible, cryptic pregnancies are not as uncommon as you might assume. While precise figures are hard to establish due to the rarity and difficulty in reporting such cases, some studies estimate that cryptic pregnancies occur in about 1 in 475 pregnancies late into the second trimester. Some even suggest that 1 in 2,500 women may not realize they're pregnant until they go into labor.

I still can't fathom how a woman could have a stomach that's as "flat as it's ever been" and have a 6.5-pound, 19-inch baby in there, but the miracle of life is strange and I'm just happy for one more baby in the world!

"I am so grateful that I did not suffer postpartum depression," Kayla continued. "I was honestly fine. Obviously, I was in shock, but I do think that things happen for a reason." She says she is the happiest she has ever been, and she knows she was meant to be a mom.

The best! 🥰
