Oh look: The thing that never happens!

Here's the local reporting in Eastern Washington:

According to deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office (FCSO), Esperanza Contreras, who worked as a manager at a Pasco apartment complex, filled out and submitted ballots for four tenants who had moved out before the election. According to Franklin County Auditor Matt Beaton, at least two of these ballots were counted, while the fourth was rejected due to a mismatched signature, which raised suspicions of authorities. Investigators said they were able to piece together that Contreras had cast at least four ballots for her former tenants without their knowledge, after they contacted the person due to the mismatched signature.

Contreras is facing a dozen separate felony charges for illegally voting, forging signatures, and stealing identities.

But I'm sure this is a one-off case and doesn't ever happen anywhere else, especially in deep blue states like Washington.

That any state still allows ballots to be sent in the mail is absolutely insane.
