Liberals gathered in Boston yesterday on the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party and decided to protest ICE by literally tossing ice into the Boston Harbor.

They're calling it an "ICE Tea Party."
For context, the original Tea Party (1773) was performed in protest of the East India Company, which had just benefitted from the lowering of the tea tax, essentially granting it a tea monopoly in America.
Okay, I'm going to quote The Boston Globe on this story, cuz I'm pretty sure they're taking it very seriously.
They dumped ice into Boston Harbor, a moment of dramatic irony on the 252nd anniversary of the Boston Tea Party of 1773.
Back then, protesters marched boldly from the Old South Meeting House in Dowtown Crossing to the harbor, where they tossed shipments of tea into the water.
This time, the people marched in resistance to the harsh treatment of immigrants by the Trump administration.
The protest was organized by Boston Indivisible and Mass 50501, and I'm guessing they didn't stick with the tradition of dressing up as native Americans because today that gets you nabbed for cultural appropriation.
Would've been cool though!
