Watch: This vid showing police saving a woman’s life shows how fast things go from zero to 60 in the line of duty

In a world where we see videos of every police incident, we rarely see the moments leading up to the heat of the action.

In this video, two NYC police officers

">responded to a case of domestic violence where they accompanied a woman to recover her belongings from a home she shared with her alleged abuser.

The body cam footage is less than 2 minutes long. Take a few moments to watch it in its entirety and see how fast things go sideways:

[Warning: Violence]

Things went south really fast.

One moment the home is empty and the officers asking the woman if her significant other has taken his handgun with him. The next minute, the dude jumps them from behind and starts firing.

The two officers were both injured but managed to take the attacker down. Without them around, there's little doubt the woman would have left in a body bag.

Here's an outside security cam showing the bad guy walking up to the door with his blaster drawn:

And here he is a moment later as he unloaded said blaster at the officers and the woman:

After the footage of the November incident was released, even Commie NYC mayor Bill DeBlasio praised them:

"They saved that woman's life. I want to be crystal clear. Because these officers were there, that woman is alive."

Indeed. As we watch the next officer-involved shooting on social media, let's remember how fast these force-on-force scenarios play out, and how courageous these officers have to be to go to work each day.
