Watch this woman demolish 10 jelly-filled donuts in 3 minutes for a Guinness world record

Like many people, I enjoy myself a good jelly donut. After two or three, however, my stomach is usually telling me to stop unless I want to feel like a balloon for the rest of the day.

Well, professional speed eater Leah Shutkever demonstrated her iron will and inhuman stomach capacity by downing ten large jelly donuts in less than 3 minutes:

Let's do a little nutritional math to fathom the insanity at play here. Using Dunkin' Donut's website as a guide, I've come up with some stats on how much Shutkever consumed in less than 180 seconds:

  • 2,500 calories (roughly the entire daily input needed to sustain a 200-lb man)
  • 40g of saturated fat (200% of the recommended daily value)
  • 130g of sugar (nearly 3 day's worth of recommended intake)
  • Only 10g of fiber (only 40% of your daily need, meaning things are going to be... backed up without some assistance ๐Ÿ˜‚)

This isn't Ms. Shutkever's first feat. She also holds the world records for being the fastest person to drink a liter of gravy (dear Lord, why???), the fastest person to eat a cucumber, and the most lasagna eaten in 30 seconds. Her goal is to set 10 records in total by the end of the year.

Now if you'll excuse me, writing this has strangely given me a craving for a warm donut and a glass of hot apple cider. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
