Watching John Oliver try to wiggle out of his TDS on "60 Minutes" might be the funniest thing you see today

Late night host John Oliver used to be quite funny, but he's spent the last few years descending into a Trump Derangement Syndrome routine that is about as funny as a cold sore at a wedding.

Now he's trying to claim that he's actually more non-partisan than you think!

Oliver's schtick is simple: Make funny faces, make non-sensical political comparisons to make his non-sensical political arguments seem oh-so-smart, and — when in doubt — throw a few naughty words in with a British accent.

(Because remember, folks, he's right because he's British, which I know because I'm British.)

He spent years painting himself on the "right side of history" by opposing Trump and pushing far-left policies, but now he's trying to claim most of his coverage isn't "party political."

And yet, in the same breath that he touts his non-partisan coverage, he's doubling down on the idea that opposing Trump is centrist and says Trump is going to send him to the gulags.

To be honest, 60 minutes with John Oliver is 59 minutes too many.
