Here's an "extraordinary family" with parents who have multiple sexual partners of every flavor along the gender spectrum (which must never be criticized lest Jack Dorsey cancel us, amen).

There's an old proverb that some of us backward, curmudgeonly folk who still believe in the objective design by a holy God for reality, family, and sexuality. It goes a little something like this:

"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."

Instead, this is what one of the partners in this family arrangement has to say: "We're always going to let [the kids] take the lead on that," referring to them deciding how to identify their gender.

That's literally the opposite of parenting.

The fact that this type of familial structure exists shouldn't be surprising: after all, throughout history, there have been a diverse number of family and sexual arrangements – in Christian understanding, due to the stain of sin that has twisted God's beautiful and right design.

What should be surprising is that the historically unique commitment, love, and devotion found in the Judeo-Christian understanding of marriage and family is not only disappearing, but being increasingly demonized along the way.

It isn't just that this is being tolerated, or even that it's being accepted – it's that it's now being celebrated.

The next step is penalizing whatever runs contrary to what is celebrated.
