If you find yourself just casually biking around New York City, just keep your head on a swivel with "Hatchet Man" on the loose.
This teenager on his bicycle just had to escape a man with a hatchet who attacked him for no reason.

A hatchet attack in the Flatiron District on Monday morning left a teen hospitalized, police said Tuesday as they searched for a suspect.
The 19-year-old victim and his attacker got into an argument at W. 26th Street and Sixth Avenue shortly before 10 a.m.
Police said the suspect thought the victim said something to him, sparking the dispute.
During the confrontation, the man pulled out a hatchet and struck the teen in his leg and foot, police said.
How does a person go from "What did you say to me?" to immediately pulling out a hatchet and going all "Patriot" on someone?
Video from police shows the suspect swinging the hatchet at the victim's leg and then charging at him on a crosswalk.
At least the teen had that bike lock to defend himself!
EMS transported the victim to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition with lacerations to his leg and foot.
The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound up Sixth Avenue on a moped.
The police are still looking for the guy, but we got a good look at him.
Wait a minute...
Is that...?
Is that Kaepernick?
No, it couldn't be.
