I mean we all knew it was true. We've known it since pretty much early 2020.
Still, it's nice to keep being so validated over and over again, isn't it?
The Central Intelligence Agency offered to pay off analysts in order to bury their findings that COVID-19 most likely leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China, new whistleblower testimony to Congress alleges.
Anyone surprised? Anyone?
The whistleblower in question was a "senior-level CIA officer" who reportedly told House COVID Committee members of the scheme to "pay off six analysts who found SARS-CoV-2 likely originated in a Wuhan lab." For some reason the CIA was apparently very keen on having those scientific conclusions suppressed.
All but one of the CIA's seven-man Covid Discovery Team concluded that the lab-leak origin was likely. Yet the team ultimately came to a "public determination of uncertainty," one which was reportedly greased with a considerable amount of cash from the CIA itself.
The committee has requested for extensive documentation related to the allegations, giving the CIA just two weeks, until Sept. 26, to respond.
My guess on what they'll get back:
