Aaaaand the drama continues!

From Politico:

Tarini Parti, a White House reporter for the Wall Street Journal, had been scheduled to serve as the print pooler for the final two days of Trump's four-day trip to his golf courses in Turnberry and Aberdeen, Scotland.

But the White House, which earlier this year took over control of pool rotations from the White House Correspondents' Association, removed her from the trip manifest, Leavitt said.

Welp.

If you recall, the Journal reported that Trump had sent Epstein a pervy note where Trump allegedly drew a nude woman and then wrote a third-person, pretend conversation between him and Epstein that included phrases like "enigmas never age" and "may every day be another wonderful secret."

The White House press secretary confirmed that the removal from the press pool was related to the report:

'As the appeals court confirmed, the Wall Street Journal or any other news outlet are not guaranteed special access to cover President Trump in the Oval Office, aboard Air Force One, and in his private workspaces,' Leavitt said in a statement.

(The June decision in Associated Press v. Trump Administration affirmed the White House's right to remove outlets from restricted work areas after the Trump admin kicked the AP out of all pools for not using the term "Gulf of America." 😂)

'Due to the Wall Street Journal's fake and defamatory conduct, they will not be one of the thirteen outlets on board. Every news organization in the entire world wishes to cover President Trump, and the White House has taken significant steps to include as many voices as possible.'

Translation:

Trump announced on Friday that he is suing the Journal (for $10 billion, no less) and eviscerated owner Rupert Murdoch, the business mogul who also owns Fox News and the New York Post, among other outlets.

On Monday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also roasted the WSJ with this clip on CNBC:

We'll let you know if anything else happens in this saga that's somehow not reality TV.

A White House spokesperson declined to comment on whether the Journal would be included in the pool in the future, either on the White House campus or on subsequent trips.
