A few months back, there was an uproar within the Wikipedia community over how woke the moderators had become, leading to a huge shakedown and more than a few news stories.
Now check out the new page that Wikipedia is considering for deletion:

On the discussion page, one of the moderators said the question is whether or not the worst atrocities committed under organized government in world history is a "legitimate subject" for an encyclopedia.
There is no doubt that 'communist regimes' as defined in the article have perpetrated many atrocities, but that isn't the issue. The question that needs to be asked is whether 'Mass killings under communist regimes' is a legitimate subject for an encyclopaedic article.
I'm not a Wiki moderator, so perhaps the article does need to moved to a new page (certainly not deleted altogether), due to the large amount of traffic on the page and the number of revisions that it's had over the years.
But that's not the issue here. The same moderator says that it might be acceptable to separate out these mass murders by dictator, but that it's a "fringe theory" to assume that communism is "somehow inherently violent."
...To combine it by ideology, without sources that explicitly do so, is SYNTH. At bottom, the view that the ideology of communism is somehow inherently violent is [fringe theory] anti-communist POV pushing.
Imagine transferring this article to any other religious system (because that is what communism ultimately is). Imagine telling people that you can't list the total historical numbers of people killed by Islamic jihad, and that we'll need to have separate articles on the deaths caused by everyone from Mohammed up through ISIS, with no referent on the underpinning ideology that led to their conquests.
Fact: Communism killed an estimated 100 million people (or more) in the 20th century alone.
Fact 2: Communism has always led to mass suffering and death.
Fact 3: Communism always will lead to mass suffering and death.
Its atrocities are well documented. To say there were no mass killings under communist regimes BECAUSE THEY WERE COMMUNIST is to deny the historicity of other 20th-century atrocities like the Holocaust. It's like saying you need to disconnect the actions of Hitler and his Nationalist Socialist Party from the statements in Mein Kampf.
Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro, the Kim Jong-il clan, Hugo Chavez, and others caused more mass-misery and death due to their belief in the teachings of Karl Marx than the combined efforts of all the insanely gruesome wars of the 1900s.
And it's not even close!
One of the most respected voices on research into the mass killings by commies was Professor Rudolph Joseph Rummel. Although he died in 2014, his now-antiquated webpage is still up for any who want to dive into his research, first published in 1993.
Few would deny any longer that communism--Marxism-Leninism and its variants--meant in practice bloody terrorism, deadly purges, lethal gulags and forced labor, fatal deportations, man-made famines, extrajudicial executions and show trials, and genocide. It is also widely known that as a result millions of innocent people have been murdered in cold blood. Yet there has been virtually no concentrated statistical work on what this total might be.
In 1993, he could write that "few would deny" this, but nearly 30 years later, the neo-Marxists in Big Tech and the academy want to rewrite history because REAL communism has never been tried before.
After detailing the difficulties in calculating "precisely how many the communists murdered," he write this:
With this understood, the Soviet Union appears the greatest megamurderer of all, apparently killing near 61,000,000 people. Stalin himself is responsible for almost 43,000,000 of these. Most of the deaths, perhaps around 39,000,000 are due to lethal forced labor in gulag and transit thereto. Communist China up to 1987, but mainly from 1949 through the cultural revolution, which alone may have seen over 1,000,000 murdered, is the second worst megamurderer. Then there are the lesser megamurderers, such as North Korea and Tito's Yugoslavia.
Obviously the population that is available to kill will make a big difference in the total democide, and thus the annual percentage rate of democide is revealing. By far, the most deadly of all communist countries and, indeed, in this century by far, has been Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge. Pol Pot and his crew likely killed some 2,000,000 Cambodians from April 1975 through December 1978 out of a population of around 7,000,000. This is an annual rate of over 8 percent of the population murdered, or odds of an average Cambodian surviving Pol Pot's rule of slightly over just over 2 to 1.
In sum the communist probably have murdered something like 110,000,000, or near two-thirds of all those killed by all governments, quasi-governments, and guerrillas from 1900 to 1987. Of course, the world total itself it shocking. It is several times the 38,000,000 battle-dead that have been killed in all this century's international and domestic wars. Yet the probable number of murders by the Soviet Union alone--one communist country-- well surpasses this cost of war. And those murders of communist China almost equal it.
Of course, this is only one source.

And like, we won't get too picky about the numbers, because after the first ten million, you kinda made your point. And the fact that we don't know between 15 and 60 is actually an indication of the HORROR of it. Because our count is off by tens of millions, and that's only within the last century.
Of course, commies will argue once again that none of this was rEaL cOmMuNiSm and that cApiTaLiSm kiLLs mOrE pEoPLe, instead of engaging on the horrors of the twisted, destructive ideology they follow.
Which brings us back to Wikipedia.
The site dedicated to being the open encyclopedia of the internet is teetering right on the edge of canceling the worst mass horrors of human history because its moderator community has become so filled with ideological diehards that the site has effectively become a propaganda machine.
And if sites like Wikipedia fall completely, then the "fact-checkers" will follow suit, Big Tech will ban anyone who says differently, new academic papers will be written to assert that we have always been at war with Eastasia, and the media will dox anyone who dares speak up in the public square.
It's a big deal.
