"Paw Patrol" introduces first non-binary character ... I guess I know which show not to watch on Saturday morning now

Alright everyone, I've got another kids show for you to avoid.

Check out this hot garbage:

Yup, that's Lindz Amer, author of the widely popular "Hooray for She, He, Ze, and They!: What Are Your Pronouns Today?" and "Rainbow Parenting: Your Guide to Raising Queer Kids and Their Allies."

I'm not kidding. This person wrote the Paw Patrol spinoff episode which introduced the brand's first non-binary character. And kids everywhere will probably watch this because their parents have no idea this stuff is going on.

I wanted to write a nonbinary character that was aspirational and incredibly cool, someone for the pups (and kids at home) to look up to. They found an awesome non-binary actor to voice River and I'm so so happy about how it turned out.

If I had told you just five years ago that a non-binary person was writing a non-binary character into one of the most popular kids shows on television you'd have first asked, "What the heck is a non-binary person," and then you'd have laughed at me.

Yet here we are.

The episode is called "The Crew Builds an Observatory" so keep an eye out, or just avoid the "Rubble & Crew" spinoff altogether.

Alternatively, you could just join the Nickelodeon boycott like a growing number of parents are doing after seeing this.
