The Tri-City Chili Peppers played a glow-in-the-dark baseball game last weekend and it was as beautiful as you'd expect

We were so hyped for this thing we did a story on the promo!

So you knew once the game happened we'd have to give you an awesome weekend story covering the action.

It finally happened, and it was absolutely glorious.

Here was the scene when they turned out the lights.

I must also show you this one simply for the audio.

🤣🤣🤣

That man's a little too excited!!

Here's the first inside-the-park home run in the history of cosmic baseball.

A few more goodies for ya.

The boys made the paper too:

As you may be able to tell by the protective net in front of the pitcher, this was not an official game. "It was just guys messing around," according to Chili Peppers owner, Chris Martin. Regardless, The Chili Peppers "won" the game 9-4.

Tickets for the June 1 game sold out within 24 hours of going on sale, and if you're looking to catch one of these games they've got a few more coming up on June 15, June 28, and July 20, though you'll have to buy those tickets resale because they're already sold out.

Here's the full stream of the 3.5-inning contest for you, free of charge. You're welcome.

More of this, baseball. More of this.
