There are few worthless establishments more in need of disbanding than international governing bodies.
Whatever the original desire was - naïve as it may have been - the United Nations stands today as a testament to the galling corruption, exploitation, and sleaze unremarkable men are capable of committing.
Just a couple years ago, China, Cuba, Gabon, Pakistan, Russia, and Uzbekistan were all overwhelmingly elected to posts on the UN human rights council.
China, where they torture Christians and enslave Muslim Uighurs.
Pakistan, where honor killings, blasphemy executions, forced child marriages, and beheadings are all the rage.
Selecting the world's worst human rights violators to oversee human rights around the world is what makes so many of us ask why the American taxpayer continues to be the single greatest contributor to sustaining this wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Where this corruption extends beyond the UN is where the State of Israel is involved. Judaism and Zionism remains the great spotlight that sends the cockroaches of antisemitism scrambling, every time.
In a month's time, here's a list of how concerned international human rights groups were on social media about Hamas's terror attack on October 7th, one of the most brazen assaults on human rights in recent history:
1. UN Human Rights office High Commissioner Volker Turk issued no condemnations of Hamas but has repeatedly called on Israel to agree to a ceasefire.
- The US gives over $12 billion to the UN each year, accounting for approximately one-fifth of the organization's total operating budget.
2. Amnesty International did publicly condemn the Hamas attack from their social media platform, but promptly (on October 11th) blamed Israel for causing the problem with their "system of apartheid imposed on Palestinians."
- Americans gave nearly $300 million to Amnesty International in 2022.
3. Human Rights Watch actually ran interference for Hamas, claiming that the "political" and "military" divisions are distinct and different from one another.
- Americans gave over $100 million to Amnesty International last year.
4. Save the Children International, an organization that touts its purpose to "ensure children from across the world survive, learn, and are protected," never condemned Hamas nor mentioned any of the hostages.
- Americans gave over $1 billion to Save the Children last year.
5. World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus never issued a public condemnation of Hamas, took 9 days to call for the release of Israeli hostages.
- The United States gave $700 million to WHO in 2021.
6. UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell, whose mandate is to look out for children, never issued a condemnation of Hamas, and took a full month before calling for the release of Israeli hostages.
- The United States gave $1.286 billion to UNICEF in 2022.
There's a lot of talk every election season about draining or emptying or eliminating "the Swamp."
It would be helpful if Americans would remember that Swamp goes beyond the bloated budget busters in D.C. and includes the global propagators and sustainers of antisemitism worldwide.
