If you don't think what celebrities say matters, you better think again.

A full 18% of American voters, nearly 1 in 5, say that they are likely to be influenced in their choice for president based on the opinion of one pop singer.

I can't even say the name!

Yes, the widely worshipped (no, really) lady singer who is dating Mr. Pfizer would sway such a large percentage of the vote that it could change the entire election.

She-who-shall-not-be-named might just be the most important factor in this year's election!

It's like that movie where the whole election comes down to one particular swing voter and the candidates campaign directly to him.

That's a real movie, right? I don't think I made it up.

Anyways, how's that "Representative Republic" working out for ya?

In a poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for Newsweek, 18 percent of voters say they're 'more likely' or 'significantly more likely' to vote for a candidate endorsed by Taylor Swift.

Her sway was more visible with voters under the age of 35.

This election will see 8 million new voters in the US electorate - and a total of 41 million Gen Z voters, many of whom are influenced by celebrities and social media.

Let's LOWER the voting age, Dems say! And no wonder!

In 2020, the pop icon who is most famous for writing about her poor choice in men came out strongly against President Trump and endorsed Joe Biden.

This time around, conveniently, Swift has a two-month break in her concert schedule just before the election.

Oh, and by the way, according to The New York Times, Biden KNOWS that Swift is the swing vote factor and is planning to use that in his campaign:

Biden aides are drafting wish lists of potential surrogates, including elected officials, social media influencers and the endorsement of their wildest dreams: the global superstar Taylor Swift.

The biggest and most influential endorsement target is Ms. Swift, 34, the pop sensation and N.F.L. enthusiast, who can move millions of supporters with an Instagram post or a mid-concert aside. She endorsed Mr. Biden in 2020 and, last year, a single Instagram post of hers led to 35,000 new voter registrations. Fund-raising appeals from Ms. Swift could be worth millions of dollars for Mr. Biden.

The chatter around Ms. Swift and the potential of reaching her 279 million Instagram followers reached such intensity that the Biden team urged applicants in a job posting for a social media position not to describe their Taylor Swift strategy โ€” the campaign had enough suggestions already. One idea that has been tossed around, a bit in jest: sending the president to a stop on Ms. Swift's Eras Tour.

Can you imagine Joe Biden walking out on stage at a T-Swift concert? Because the people who called this whole thing a psyop back in September sure can!

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Sun is out here stumping for Taylor Swift even though her boyfriend just helped ruin Baltimore's Super Bowl dreams:

I'm starting to think duh-mocracy, or however we're running things now, wasn't the best idea.
