Is it just me, or are mass looter situations around the nation just not getting the national coverage they used to for some reason (*cough* election season *cough*), but that doesn't mean they're not still happening.
I mean, CVS in the DC area has taken to locking up their cold drinks, for goodness' sake.
And check out this gas station as 100 looters descend on it en masse.
Of course it was Oakland, California.
Of course.
Listening to the manager, Sam Mardaie, lament the fact that the cops never even bothered to show up is heartbreaking. He says it took nine hours for an officer to finally come by the station.
It was only after a video of the mass looting was shared with the department that it was raised to a Priority 1 and an officer was sent to the store nine hours after the robbery began, according to KTVU.
Mardaie also dropped this eye-opening piece of social commentary after the robbery:
It's crazy. I mean, it's a daily thing. There hasn't been a day since we opened in August that we don't have an incident.
I come from Yemen, a third world country, and we don't have those incidents in a third world country where there's no law and order.
That is crazy!
It's really hard to believe that people are coming here in hopes of the American dream and are finding a life worse than the one they left.
If only there were a political movement that was trying to get back to the greatness for which America has always been known. If only we had some candidate that was running on the restoration of law and order - and wants people like Mardaie to have their shot at the American Dream!
