"Stranger Things" came to an end this week after about 10 years.
When we last checked in, the series had become cheesier than ‘80s Christian films with this presentation of the LGBT gospel:
(They spent 12 hours filming that scene.)
The penultimate episode was followed up by the finale, which didn't get high marks either.
We'll leave the final determination up to the critics (and the viewers). But here it's worth sharing what may be just the most hilariously nerfed artistic decision the Duffer Brothers made over five seasons:
Take a look at Nancy Wheeler, um, charging her rifle with the carry handle:

I guess at that point the Duffers had just given up!
But the comments are here to helpfully point things out to them:
Some folks tried to defend the show, claiming the racking motion is actually accurate:
Of course, if you look closely, it doesn't look like that at all — and the audio of the clip features the distinct two-part metallic racking sound with which every gun owner is familiar (go watch the clip again and see).
The series is over now either way … and honestly, thank goodness.
