Parents, do you know where your kids are?
Cuz there's a slight chance your 8-year-old daughter might have grabbed your keys and driven herself to Target — especially if you live in Ohio.
Yup, like mother, like daughter, I'll assume. I'll also assume that when the girl got home she had only spent money on things in the dollar bin, which somehow added up to $150.
Here's the scoop:
On Sunday morning, Bedford police took a call for a missing child. As they began to investigate, police also took a call ‘concerning a small child driving east on Rockside Road.'
Officers eventually found the car in the parking lot of a Target store in Bainbridge, Ohio. Police then found the child in the store.
Yes, this little girl took a joyride over to Target to do a little shopping, and here's what her route might have looked like:
Yes, a 25-minute drive, and all she claims to have hit was a single mailbox. I'll take her word for it, but I'm not entirely sure how much of the road she could actually see from her position behind the wheel. Either way, that's a long drive for an 8-year-old.
Police say the young lady is not old enough to be charged, so this trip to Target is a freebie.
