This has to have been among the worst flights to be on in the history of commercial air travel.
Nine teenagers on a flight from LA to London obtained fake IDs and got, apparently, incredibly drunk on the cross-Atlantic flight.
From The Independent:
Alarmed passengers and crew were subjected to antisocial and disruptive behaviour, prompting pilots to radio ahead to London to alert local police who attended the scene upon the plane's arrival at Heathrow Airport.
Law enforcement arrested the youths, who were taken into custody where mugshots and fingerprints were reportedly taken.
Can you even imagine being on this flight with 9 drunk teens causing havoc all the way from LA to London?
The cops booked them, but then simply released them without charges.
Virgin Atlantic reportedly refused to fly the teens back, but eventually agreed to fly them back out of London but separated on different flights and to different airports all over the US.
According to The Sun, Virgin Atlantic initially refused to fly the teenagers back after the incident, but later relented - reportedly taking "revenge" by separating the teenagers and transporting them back to different cities across the US and informing their parents, some of whom are alleged to be celebrity sports stars.
Honestly, Virgin Atlantic did the right thing here after messing up by giving them the alcohol in the first place.
I hope these kids learn a lesson, but they seem to have gotten off pretty easy.
