In Illinois this isn't really all that surprising...
Yes, some 6'4" bro with no experience in the sport made the freshman girls' volleyball team at James B. Conant High in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
This seems to go against Trump's executive order titled, "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports," so I do wonder how long this boy's time on the girls' team will last.

68 girls tried out, and 23 made the team. So this kid beat out 45 girls, many of whom had previously played club volleyball.
The longtime coach has quit, and some of the girls who made the team are considering quitting as well. Many of them are uncomfortable changing in the locker room with a 6'4" boy and some have even opted to change in the nurse's office, which was reportedly the school's solution.
Welp, we thought woke was dead, but it's still kicking, folks.
