Mitt Romney The Only Republican To Vote Against Bi-Partisan Senate Bill To End Mask Mandate On Planes And Public Transportation

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul introduced a resolution that would end the federal mask mandate in airplanes and public transportation.

The vote had bi-partisan support, passing the Senate with a 57-40 vote.

One Republican voted against the bill. Can you guess who?

Yep. Mitt Romney, of course.

Yeah, as several Democrats and every single Republican votes for the common sense bill to remove masks on planes, Mitt Romney is here to show that he is in no way a conservative.

It's bad enough that he doesn't support the measure, but his reasoning for not voting to remove the masks is completely awful.

Romney's reason for not voting for Paul's resolution is because he thinks that the legislator should NOT legislate and instead pass all of their responsibilities to government bureaucracies.

Romney is saying that he trusts Anthony Fauci to make this kind of decision as a representative of "the science" rather than letting the Senate make laws.

It's absolutely anti-constitutional. The idea that this sort of thing should be decided by a panel of government "experts" instead of the legislature is dangerous and wrong.

It's exactly how we got in this situation with Covid.

Romney either hasn't learned anything from the quagmire of a public health response from the last two years OR he's not a conservative and never has been and doesn't understand his job as a Senator.

RINO's gonna RINO.
