In Minneapolis, voters rejected Omar Fateh, a second-generation Somali Muslims and socialist extraordinaire.
Instead, they reelected the guy who … let the entire city of Minneapolis burn to the ground and cried at the casket of George Floyd.

Frey, a mainstream Democrat, and Fateh, a Democratic state senator who is a democratic socialist, led a 15-candidate field. The only other candidates drawing significant votes were the Rev. DeWayne Davis and businessman Jazz Hampton, who were further back.
Fateh, Davis and Hampton formed an alliance, urging their voters to rank one another, but not Frey, to make it harder for the incumbent to win.
(Just another reminder of why ranked voting is horrible.)
Regardless, it was not enough to keep the man who oversaw the complete and total destruction of Minneapolis from being reelected.
A huge achievement for a white, male Democrat in 2025.
As for the Somalian Muslims, they can bide their time. The white liberals aren't having kids.
