A "Defund The Police" Congresswoman Was Carjacked at Gunpoint In Broad Daylight In Philly

Pennsylvania Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon was carjacked and robbed Wednesday in Philadelphia, according to a statement from her campaign.

In the statement, her campaign thanked the police for their help after the trying incident.

"She thanks the Philadelphia Police Department for their swift response, and appreciates the efforts of both the Sergeant at Arms in D.C. and her local police department for coordinating with Philly PD to ensure her continued safety."

She's appreciative now, of course, since she needs the police. However, Scanlon has not been so supportive of the boys in blue in the past.

As a matter of fact, Scanlon previously joined in with radical democrats in congress to support "Defund the Police" and "Police Reform" acts.

Here's her supporting the "Justice in Policing" act which would effectively take the teeth out of policing and replace police officers with social workers.

I'm sure when Scanon was being held at gunpoint Wednesday she was yelling, "Social worker! Social worker!"

Fox News reports that Scanlon also sponsored The Mental Health Justice Act, which would team police up with mental health professionals.

Again, I'm sure when she was being carjacked she thought, "If only there were a psychiatrist nearby!"

No, she needed police. And she admitted as much.

I guess it's okay for police to help her, but not others.
