Obscenely large and opulent yachts owned by Russian kingpins have been in the news a lot recently:

And now Italian authorities have reportedly seized a gigantic ship owned by the infamous man himself, Vlad Putin:

A giant superyacht said to be owned by Vladimir Putin was last night set to be seized by Italian authorities after they recommended it be impounded as part of sanctions against Russia.

Authorities in Italy said the $700 million The Scheherazade, which is more than 450ft long, and boasts spas, swimming pools and two helicopter pads was connected to a 'significant person' but did not name them.

The yacht has been the subject of an investigation by the Italian financial police since the end of March and has been in dock at Marina di Carrara near Pisa since September undergoing a refit.

Ahh, sorry, Mr. Putin, you probably should have docked your massive boat somewhere other than Tuscany. Now it's gone!

The craft reportedly has "huge entertaining spaces equipped with a grand piano..."

...and it also allegedly features "a dancefloor that lowers to reveal a swimming pool:"

Okay so if I'm reading this correctly...Vladimir Putin has the same dance floor that famously appeared in It's a Wonderful Life??

That's a great movie. Maybe the guy is a little classier than we were led to believe! Nah not really.
