Disney is trying to dismiss a lawsuit over the wrongful death of this woman because her husband signed up for a Disney+ trial in 2019

I saw this story going viral and it seemed WAY too bizarre and over the top to be true.

But it's true.

Imagine your wife dying because restaurant workers wrongly claimed their food was allergen-free, only to have the company try to weasel out of any responsibility by holding up the fine print of a totally unrelated streaming service you tried out once.

From the NY Post:

Kanokporn Tangsuan's bereaved widower, Jeffrey Piccolo, is suing the theme park juggernaut, claiming that she suffered a fatal allergic reaction shortly after eating at a Disney Springs restaurant in Florida last October.

But Disney is claiming the $50,000 suit should be moved out of the courts because Piccolo agreed to arbitrate all disputes with the company when he first signed up for a one-month trial of the Disney+ streaming service back in 2019, court documents charge.

Moving out of the courts would allow Disney to go with private arbitration to settle the matter without having to deal with the justice system.

For a measly 50 grand!

My two cents?

Go scorched earth on this woke corporation.
