Biden made the statement in an interview with ABC host and former Clinton communications director George Stephanopoulos, who was trying his best not to drool all over Biden.
Now that he's meeting with the G7 nations and other world leaders, however, Biden found himself laughing and pausing awkwardly when he was asked if he still stands by his comments:
