It's not easy being a social justice warrior, especially on the Internet, where a situation can easily spiral out of control until you become, in the words of the great Obi-Wan Kenobi, "the very thing you swore to destroy."
Such was the unfortunate experience of Roslyn Talusan, a well-traveled cultural critic who late last week targeted British chef Pippa Middlehurst for cancellation because Middlehurst, a white woman, had the gall to cook Asian food.
Talusan got a significant amount of pushback over her weird and inexplicable take.
Apparently, being justly criticized on the Internet for her racially absurd outbursts was one thing too many for her, because she eventually locked her Twitter account. Prior to that, however, she put out an APB to solicit donations for [checks notes] the therapy she was going to need after enduring all that criticism:
There has been no word on whether or not she raised enough funds for a session before locking her account. Sad!
