A thief in Australia has taken off with a Krispy Kreme van filled with 10,000 doughnuts

Man, this is my favorite kind of theft right here.

I mean, if you're going to steal anything, why not 10,000 Krispy Kreme doughnuts? Am I right?

This lady's probably in a food coma by now, but we'll still give her some time to shine.

The alleged burglar fled a servo in Carlingford, northwest of Sydney, Australia with 10,000 doughnuts in the van while its driver was inside paying at about 3:30 am (AEDT).

The vehicle was on its way to Newcastle to make a variety of deliveries, including Christmas-themed and classic doughnuts.

"Police are currently searching for the van and the sweet-toothed thief. It's believed she jumped into the van as the driver was inside the service station," Krispy Kreme said in a statement.

Oh boy, now I can't stop thinking about doughnuts.

So good ...

Oh no, am I going to be the copycat burglar? There is a Krispy Kreme right down the street, and my sweet tooth is howling.

I love this statement from the local police in the Land Down Under:

If you've got any sweet leads or Krispy CCTV footage, donut keep it to yourself! Contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Beautiful. Couldn't have written it better myself!

Currently, Krispy Kreme is working on replacing those 10,000 doughnuts, so they should be in stores soon.

As for our thief, well, maybe she was just really hungry and is now face down on the ground somewhere. But I hope this ends up being one of those heartwarming stories where she drops off the doughnuts at a food pantry or something. You never know.

I'll leave this here for you:
