A gang that launched a savage knife attack at a French village's winter ball, killing a teenage boy, told guests, 'we are here to stab white people' before the rampage, according to a report.
The 16-year-old high school student, identified only as Thomas, was stabbed at the weekend when a group of outsiders descended on a festive crowd of around 400 people gathered in Crepol, in the southwestern Drome region, for a dance party in the village hall.
He died on his way to hospital, while at least 17 others were injured, two of them seriously.
Canadian commentator Mark Steyn has more details: As stated above, the event was reportedly a "bal d'hiver," or a "winter ball" with about 400 people in attendance. The attackers reportedly showed up from Romans-sur-Isère, a larger town several miles to the south.
As Steyn noted: "There's no good reason why the cool kids in the big burg would want to go to some hicky bal d'hiver in nowheresville at two in the morning." The fellows showed up to kill, and kill they did, murdering one 16-year-old named Thomas and wounding over a dozen others. Two men in their 20s are in critical condition. The victims ranged from 16 to 65 years old.
One eyewitness put it in stark terms after the attack was over: "The room looked like a slaughterhouse." That's what tends to happen when a bunch of "thugs" show up and start swinging knives.
A graphic video is circulating showing the attackers. Although it cannot be authoritatively confirmed, it is worth sharing here so people know what is happening in Europe.

Steyn cited the attack as an example of the "re-primitivisation" of Europe, noting that French President Emmanuel Macron has also alleged that France is experiencing "un processus de décivilisation."
Police had arrested several alleged attackers by Wednesday. Meanwhile, the French press was turning out in fine fashion with headlines like this:
That's the problem: The "far right" reacting. I'm sure we can tell ourselves that after the next mass stabbing, and the next, and the next.
