Officials are reporting that there was a URANIUM FIRE emergency at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

But don't worry, officials say everything is contained!

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!

Manufacturing fires, train derailments, and now THIS?

Just a uranium fire in the same complex that manufactures nukes and enriches uranium, no need to worry, Tennessee.

From local news:

Officials with Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge said there were no injuries nor any indication of a release of radioactivity after a fire involving uranium occurred early Wednesday.

According to a release from the U.S. Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration, the fire occurred at 9:14 a.m. Steven Wyatt with NNSA said that there was a hood fire in Building 9212, a uranium procession facility. The building and some nearby areas were evacuated.

Tony Boser, a technical adviser, said that the fire was in a processing area and it was contained to that area. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Patterson said an investigation is ongoing.

Fox News reported that 200 staff members were safely evacuated.

Air monitors show that no chemicals have been released, no one was injured in the accident, and the emergency is reportedly over at this time.

I hope this is true, but you better believe I am keeping an eye on this situation.

They're also telling the folks in East Palestine to drink the water. So I would take this report (and the inevitable disasters reports in our future) with a grain of salt.
